About us

Messina Hembry was founded in 2012 by brothers Zac and Josh with a goal to make second-hand clothing easy to find. What started as a few hand-picked charity shop pieces has grown into a world of restored garments. Today, the brand has grown not just in size but in mission.

“A big part of what we do is about restoring the story behind each item: the sizing, the fabric, the fit, the branding.” Zac Hembry, CEO

At Messina Hembry, we don’t just sell clothes, we preserve them, restore them and put them back in circulation. Because we believe in bringing the value back to second-hand.

“One of my favourite things is connecting people with garments from the past, pieces they’ve been hunting for or had long forgotten.” Josh Hembry, COO

Our Fashion

We are not a fashion house. We are a house of fashion.

Messina Hembry strives to take the exclusivity out of “fashion house”. We believe great style shouldn’t be exclusive which is why we offer clothing from affordable staples to premium designer finds, all under one roof.

Because second-hand doesn’t mean second-best.

This isn’t a curated edit for one aesthetic, it’s a living archive open to all.

Our Ethics

The fashion industry is one of the most polluting in the world and we are dedicated to the pursuit of showing that there is a better way.

Sustainability isn’t a trend for us, it’s the foundation of the business. Our role is simple: keep great clothes in motion, away from landfill and back into people’s wardrobes, where they belong.

“Every piece we resell means one less new garment being made.” Josh Hembry, COO

We treat second-hand as a cultural act, offering a choice that aligns with a thoughtful approach to living and a step away from mass consumption. We bring the substance back into style.
